Sri Ramabhyudaya Sabha, Srirampet, Mysore popularly known as MOOLE RAMA MANDIRA, was founded in the year 1890. The main objective of this institution is to promote, nurture and propagate the rich cultural heritage of our country. Thanks to the generosity of the connoisseurs like you, the Rama Mandira is able to achieve its objects right from its inception till today. Since 129 years then Sabha has the Sabha has been organizing classical music concerts during the Ramanavami Festivities. Discourses on philosophy also arranged as a part of these festivities. Artistes of national and international repute have participated in these programmes.
Apart from these cultural and spiritual activities, the Rama Mandira has a very strong social commitment. It conducts free medical check up to needy persons, distributes uniforms and books to the poor students studying in Government schools, donate crutches, walking sticks and guiding – aids to physically challenged and visually impaired persons.
The Rama Mandira also provides wheel chairs and stretchers to institutions taking care of senior citizens and patients with terminal illness. The beneficiaries are chosen without any consideration of caste, creed, race or religion. Without the unstinted support and encouragement of well – wishers like you, it wouldn’t have been possible to sustain these programs continuously for more than a century. It is not out of context to mention that Rama Mandira is unique in its own way as it has many original, Mysore style, paintings adoring its walls.
